about
Confluence draws from a broad range of Art, with special expertise in contemporary work by emerging and/or established painters, sculptors, photographers, videographers, and printmakers. In addition, American folk art, urban artifacts, Far and Middle Eastern textiles and other collectibles are incorporated into Art programs when desired. Whatever the requirements, Confluence emphasizes a close coordination with the client, architect and /or interior designer in recommending and integrating quality works of Art into corporate, public and/or private environments.
As a founding member and member of the International Association of Professional Art Advisors, Confluence Inc. adheres to the highest professional standards in all aspects of service. All professional discounts, ranging anywhere from 10-25%, are extended to the client. The client pays retail price, less the professional discount, and Confluence Inc. charges a fee based only on the net price of the artwork.

Barbara Berger, APAA
Founder
Barbara has worked as a corporate art consultant in New York. “I started Confluence in 1972,” she says. “It was the era of corporations and law firms trading flocked wallpaper for real art on the walls.”
With encouragement from renowned gallerists Leo Castelli and Ivan Karp, she specialized in the downtown world of emerging artists, building a successful career that continues today.
She later brought that expertise to the board of Anderson Ranch, initiating and co-curating the auction at the art center’s annual Recognition Dinner, which has raised more than a million dollars over the past 10 years.
